In the first quarter of 2023, Brazil's top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform experienced diverse performance trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the top 5 apps:

Uber - Request a ride maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads starting at around 257K in late December and peaking at 273K in the first week of January. However, there was a gradual decline, ending the quarter at approximately 170K weekly downloads. The app also saw a rise in weekly active users, starting at 9.6M and peaking at 11.6M in mid-February before stabilizing at around 10.6M by the end of March.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced fluctuations in its weekly downloads, beginning with 114K and seeing a peak of 132K in mid-February. By the end of March, downloads had decreased to about 85K. Weekly active users showed an overall upward trend, starting at 3.3M and reaching around 3.3M by the end of the quarter.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, beginning at 167K and dropping to about 82K by the end of March. The app’s weekly active users started at 1.1M, slightly increasing to around 1.2M towards the end of the quarter.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus had a varied performance in weekly downloads, starting at 102K and experiencing a low of 29K in late February before recovering to around 41K by the end of March. The active user base showed a slight decline from 1.3M at the beginning of the quarter to around 1.1M by the end.

Uber Lite maintained relatively stable weekly downloads, starting at 14K and ending the quarter at approximately 11K. Active users saw a small decrease from 424K at the beginning of the quarter to around 360K by the end of March.
